Want An iMac Today? Think Again

If you are thinking of getting a shiny new iMac today, better think again. According to MacRumors' Buyer's Guide, the iMac is nearing the end of a cycle and might-and this is a big might-come out in a new shell with new features within the first half of 2011. For those who aren't familiar with the iMac, this piece of computer engineering perfection is a range of Macintosh desktop computers first introduced in 1998 as the iMac G3. Today, the iMac isn't just as desktop computer, it's the dream machine of every graphic designer on the planet, thanks to its 21.5-inch and 27-inch displays with a 16:9 ratio.
So is waiting for the update to the iMac worth the wait? Judging from previous updates, it sure seems like it, considering the leaps in technology: larger and wider LCD screen, bigger hard drive space (the last version comes with 500GB to 2TB!), and of course stronger processors, like the Quad Core i5 and Core i7. Let's all take MacRumors' suggestion and wait for Apple's surprise.
